"I eat when I want to!"

So say the signs above the girls' cribs. This means the nurses have taken them off their feeding schedules, and now they need to tell us when they're hungry. Emma's feeding tube is now out, so she needs to eat solely from the bottle. Mia's tube should come out tonight and she'll be in the same boat. These are both huge step towards getting the girls ready to move home.

In fact, the nurses told Matt to bring in the car seats tomorrow so they can inspect and test them.  They also mentioned we might be ready to "room-in" (spend the night at the hospital) with the girls Sunday night!  That would mean one or both girls could be ready to come home early this week.  Since I've been home sick and haven't even been able to see the girls since Wednesday, we're hoping to room-in Monday night to give me one more day to recuperate and give us a little more time to get the house ready for their homecoming.

If the blog postings trail off, it's probably because we're in the process of bringing them home!  Stay tuned...

it's been great to follow their progress for the past couple weeks - we are rooting for them and hope you are all under one roof very soon!

Matt and Megan:

I have been pulling for all of you and it brings me great joy to see the girls out and doing so well.
