"Can you tell them apart?"

This is one of the most common questions we get, and the answer is yes. So far, at least.  Here's how:

1) They're in separate cribs and still have hospital bracelets labeled "Lund 1" and "Lund 2." While we're sure they miss each other since they haven't been together since their birthday, the nice part about having them in separate beds is that we get to know them individually. We do hope to get them together soon, at least to get reacquainted for a few minutes. 

2) Emma is bigger.  She was bigger at birth, and even though they're currently almost the same size, Emma still looks bigger.  She has a double chin (and then some!) and Mia is more petite (if you can be more petite when you're talking about weighing 4 lbs). 

3) They have distinct personalities.  Emma is relaxed and Mia is wired.  Matt thinks Mia is the independent, feisty feminist (likely a Hillary supporter), while Emma is more of a thoughtful pragmatist and an Obama supporter. 

4) If all else fails, Emma has a small birthmark on her tummy.
