The Sun Comes to Ballard

Grammy came to visit this weekend from San Diego, and brought the nice weather with her!

On Saturday, the four of us girls went out to lunch and shopping. The girls just love dining out and are so well-behaved. As long as we can keep all the silverware away from them, we're in good shape. Grammy even let them try some ice cream for dessert! It was a hit, as you can imagine.

Then on Sunday, the five of us (the girls + Daddy) got reacquainted with our neighborhood. We took a long walk around Ballard - first to the Locks, then down to Shilshole. We stopped for a late lunch at Anthony's, and lucked out with a table by the water.

We're not used to the sunshine and are going to have to incorporate sunscreen application for the girls into our routine. They're also going to have to get used to wearing hats, which only Emma will tolerate at this point.

Grammy and Mia watch the boats line up at the Locks. Thanks, Grammy, for bringing the CA sunshine!
Dad and Emma take in the view.
Dad and his "Norwegian Princesses" pay homage to Leif Erickson down at Shilshole.

Mia waits patiently for her fish 'n chips while dining at Anthony's.

Emma takes in the water view from the table. She takes in the Cherrios and Goldfish crackers too.
